“Nanette, with Ceremonies by Nanette was our officiant for our small, elopement-style wedding ceremony at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. From my first conversation with Nanette over the phone, I knew she would be the officiant for us! Being from out of state, I was concerned that our ceremony might feel “cookie cutter” or cold considering we did not personally know an officiant in the area. Not only did Nanette ensure our ceremony would be very personalized, she even wove in writing from my Grandfather (a Presbyterian minister who officiated many weddings). This was such a special touch, and her willingness to accommodate this request made me feel so special. Nanette also did an excellent job of respectfully weaving in traditions from both of our religions and backgrounds so that our families felt well represented. On the day of the ceremony, Nanette was key in facilitating the perfect spot at the Courthouse for the ceremony to take place. She was considerate of our privacy, lighting for photographs, and of course, our preference. Our families were blown away by how meaningful the ceremony was, and couldn’t say enough about Nanette’s calm presence as well as her professionalism. “Nanette was the marriage officiant for our wedding at The Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort and I cannot recommend her enough! I found Nanette online when I was researching officiants in the SB area and we met for coffee to discuss our relationship and what we wanted in a ceremony. I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted in our ceremony but I did know that I wanted it to be personalized and cover our journey as a couple. Nanette had a lot of great ideas for how we can customize the ceremony and make it our own. The passion and excitement for her work was evident, as was the connection she’s able to build with her couples. When she sent us our ceremony draft we were blown away. It was so beautiful and it really reflected the love between my husband and me. The day of the wedding Nanette conducted a perfect ceremony.
