Having Nanette as our wedding officiant was a fantastic experience! Before the wedding, Nanette spent a lot of time learning about us as a couple and discussing our vision for the ceremony. She worked with us to create a ceremony that genuinely captured our relationship and values. Nanette also helped us reflect on our time together as a couple which made our ceremony and our vows feel even more meaningful. The ceremony was beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! Thank you, Nanette, for making our wedding ceremony so special!
My wife and I just got married in Santa Barbara ~ and as it was sort of a destination wedding for us (we are from San Francisco), we had no idea where to start to look for an officiant. Nanette was on a preferred vendor list from our venue, and out of the 5-6 options, she seemed like the one for us. We emailed her, and she responded very quickly to let us know that the weekend was open and she was happy to have a chat to see if she was the right fit.As soon as we spoke on the phone, we knew she was our officiant. She has such a lovely voice, and her presence just puts you at ease immediately. We talked for a good hour just on the initial consultation, and by the end of the conversation, we knew we wanted to book her. And good thing we booked early, because she is very popular!Nanette guided us through the ceremony experience every step of the way, from allowing us to set the tone and pace, to getting to know us to customize everything for us just right. She kept us on schedule (which was great) and helped to gently guide us through writing our vows, which turned out beautiful. We had rave reviews from our attendees, as Nanette is a beautiful speaker. She arranged the ceremony with love and care, allowed us to see it beforehand to edit as we saw fit, and even helped us choose the perfect reading for our 12 year old niece. Thank you Nanette, for being a shepherd of joy into this world that needs it so much!
Dear Nanette, We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for creating such a special, intimate and heartwarming ceremony for us. The entire ceremony was the perfect mix of love, humor and joy and everybody in attendance felt included in our special day. I have lost count of how many guests commented on how amazing our ceremony was and how many people were in tears during the stepparent vows you wrote for us and our children. Your recreation of our love story and the tributes you helped us pay to our grandparents were the icing on the cake. You are a remarkable woman and are so gifted and talented at what you do. We feel incredibly blessed to have been able to share this experience with you and will be forever grateful.
We wanted a ceremony that would honor the significance of our vows and our union, but would also reflect our playfulness and sense of humor. The ceremony Nanette crafted exceeded our expectations. She helped us be present and enjoy every moment. Looking back at our wedding day, the ceremony stands out as the highlight. This is true not only for us, but many of our guests. It was perfect. We also really enjoyed working with Nanette before the ceremony. We spent many nights curled up by the fire re-living our courtship, dreaming of our future, and discovering new things about each other. That journey was so important to us. We are so thankful for the conversations Nanette fostered as well as her insights and warmth along the way.
We want to thank you so much for creating an absolutely beautiful and meaningful ceremony that was truly “us” in every way! Many friends and family members commented to us that is was the best wedding ceremony they had witnessed!! We are truly grateful for all your time and efforts.
Hi Nanette, We are enjoying married life to the fullest! We loved the ceremony and we couldn’t have imagined it any better. Thank you so much for helping us and being a part of this important event in our lives. It was very special and we appreciate all you did.
Hi Nanette, Bridget and I are decompressing in beautiful Bora Bora. The ceremony and entire wedding was sensational. Thank you! Thanks again and we hope to see you again when we visit Santa Barbara again.
We highly recommend Nanette as a wedding officiant, especially if you’re looking for someone to help you articulate your personal “love story” as the heart of your ceremony. From our first meeting with Nanette she made us feel calm, relaxed, and excited to start working on our ceremony together. She really got to know us over the course of a year through her unique questionnaires that we each answered separately and then shared with one another later. It was fun for my husband and me to share our answers with one another and it really helped keep us focused on what our wedding was really all about during the whirlwind of planning everything. Since Nanette shared the ceremony with us prior to the wedding, we both felt very present during the ceremony and it is still one of my clearest, and most cherished, memories from our wedding day. She even gave us guidelines to write out own vows, which was a helpful start in such a personal process. After the ceremony, and even still, everyone has told us how amazing and “uniquely us” the ceremony was and what a great job Nanette did of articulating that. We love Nanette!
Nanette, You were the best!!! Your calming smile told me that Cate and Frankie were in good hands. When I told you right before walking down the aisle that Cate was starting to get nerves you looked at me and said “don’t worry I will take care of her” you will never know how much your words meant at that moment. Nanette, I wish you could have heard all the complements we received from everyone about you!!! They told us what a beautiful and personal story you told about the kids. We were asked if you were family because the kids seemed so comfortable and calm with you! Thank you again, I believe we will see you again with daughter number two! :)
When I lost my beloved dog, Odessa, I went to such a dark place that I was afraid I wouldn’t come back. Nanette knew the depth of the loss I was feeling and suggested we have a ceremony to celebrate Odessa’s life and mourn her passing. She led me through a beautiful healing and brought me to a place of peace and light.
My father passed away recently and we only had a few days to pull together his memorial. Someone gave me Nanette’s name, and we met with her to discuss my dad’s service. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to step into this role, without knowing the person, and perform with grace; that is exactly what Nanette did for us. She met with my sister and I, really listened to us talk about dad: his ideas, inspirations, foibles and triumphs. She was able to take all that in, and really be there for us, to (as she so eloquently said) hold the space for us, so that we could remember and honor dad. I can only imagine that her light and wonderfully loving nature would be equally comforting in a happier celebration of life. I cannot thank her enough, nor recommend her more highly.
